Catherine Boire


Known for results-generating hospitality and travel campaigns, Catherine Boire is an accomplished public relations professional with 30 years of marketing, communications, and special events experience.

Ms. Boire founded CBPR in 1996, acting on a lifestyle goal to live and work in the Napa/Sonoma wine country. Specializing in destination marketing and PR, she quickly built a high profile client roster that includes state and national park partners, destination resorts and numerous Napa Valley hospitality accounts.

Clients appreciate Ms. Boire’s ability to support business goals with strategic planning and sales-driven programs. An experienced spokesperson and media resource, she has an extensive base of national and international editorial contacts built over two decades. In addition to publicity, community relations and crisis communications projects, she has developed effective marketing programs, collateral materials, press kits and promotional films.

Prior to launching her PR firm, Ms. Boire was Western Regional Director of Public Relations for Marriott Hotels and Resorts, where her publicity campaigns generated more than $1 million in annual revenues. She has also served as Director of Communications for Snow Summit Ski Corporation and Director of Public Relations for both The Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel (Orange County, CA) and The Westin Bonaventure (Los Angeles, CA).

Ms. Boire’s hands-on industry experience began in Yosemite National Park as Public Affairs Manager. A graduate of California State University, Fullerton, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing Communications, emphasis in Public Relations.

Linda Landers

CBPR social media and marketing strategist

Linda Landers brings valuable account management, branding and marketing skills developed through twenty years with leading public relations agencies. She is a recognized expert in marketing to women, helping clients reach specific lifestyle and demographic groups with targeted relationship-building campaigns.

Formerly a managing partner with PainePR, she developed programs for major travel and hospitality clients including United Airlines, Disney, Four Seasons Hotels and Hilton Hotels. She also launched new products and boosted national name recognition for a variety of consumer brands: among them, Polaroid, American Suzuki Motor Corporation, Buena Vista Television, Taco Bell, Kashi and Procter & Gamble (specifically, Ivory Soap, Metamucil, Zest, Old Spice and others).

Her interest in travel and tourism PR has led her to focus on the practice of marketing to women. As a specialist in this area, she notes that women influence or control 85% of all purchases, including 92% of all travel vacations. Her expertise in the social media arena includes building targeted engagement campaigns and blogger engagement programs for numerous clients.

Ms. Landers is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and the recipient of numerous national and regional industry awards for her innovative public relations and marketing strategies.

CBPR copywriting support

Renee Brincks is a skilled copy and features writer with a decade of experience in public relations, journalism and marketing. Her contributions to the CBPR team include crafting compelling web content, press releases and collateral materials text for client project needs.

Previously the marketing communications manager for the Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Ms. Brincks fielded media requests and coordinated itineraries for visiting journalists and film crews. She wrote press releases and newsletters targeting media professionals, group travel executives and bureau members. Her ad copy ran in such magazines as Travel + Leisure, National Geographic Traveler, Sunset and VIA, and she also managed the bureau’s promotions and added-value programs.

Before joining the bureau, Ms. Brincks served as director of research for Brainworks Design Group, a national higher educational marketing firm. In addition, she sharpened her writing skills while a reporter with the Des Moines Register.

Ms. Brincks earned a Master of Arts in mass communication as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar at Bond University in Queensland, Australia. Her Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish is from Central College in Iowa.

CBPR artistic director and graphic designer

As an Art Director in the advertising industry for more than 20 years, David Terry brings well-rounded creative and graphic design skills to CBPR.

Complemented by Mr. Terry’s professional web/print creative, design and collateral production expertise, CBPR offers a full scope of website development, logo design, production of promotional materials, ad campaigns, packaging, trade show graphics, apparel, CD and book covers.

His artistic eye and passion for the outdoors are also evident in his highly respected work as a landscape, nature and architectural photographer.

A graduate of the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, he has been a featured artist in numerous gallery photography exhibits and has won local, regional and national Addy awards for graphic design.

Shelia Gentry

CBPR media research and database manager

Shelia Gentry’s client support services for CBPR includes research, development and management of extensive online, print and broadcast media database, coordinating electronic newswire press release distribution and creating media monitoring recap reports.

Ms. Gentry’s professional career in the hospitality industry includes marketing management positions with Harlan Estate, Shafer Vineyards, Sloan Estate and Oakville Ranch wineries.

She is active in community affairs and has served as Volunteer Appreciation Chair for the Napa Valley Wine Auction and held positions as both President and Vice President for the Napa County Humane Society. Most recently, she served as Treasurer for the Napa Valley Education Foundation.

Ms. Gentry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Marketing from Mount Vernon College in Washington D.C. where she was a recipient of an academic leadership scholarship.

Arvis Northrop

CBPR special events coordinator

With an impressive background in corporate marketing, freelance travel writing and winery hospitality programs, Arvis Northrop is well versed on all sides of special event management.

Her client support services for CBPR includes logistical coordination for client special events, hosted press trips and individual media visits.

Ms. Northrop’s independent writing career includes serving as a contributing writer to the Napa Valley Marketplace, Contra Costa Marketplace and Solano Magazines, with a topical interest in promoting sustainable tourism in the Napa Valley Wine Country, California and the U.S.

Previously, Ms. Northrop worked as a di Rosa Preserve group tour guide and assisted Napa Valley’s Pine Ridge Winery with their wine club and visitor hospitality programs.

In addition to Creative Writing studies at San Francisco State University, Ms. Northrop holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management of Business Information Systems from the University of Phoenix, Bellevue, WA
